Hi, my name is Cody Woods, and I eat a crap ton of Bdubs. I am a wonderful web developer (at least that is what I choose to think). As you will find out, I am not your typical developer, from my background to my style. The first 13 years of my life were spent on a farm in West Virginia until my family moved to Newcomerstown, Ohio. I went on and spent my last two years of high school at a vocational school learning Information Technology. After high school, I went to work in the oil fields for the next four years until I decided I wanted to do more with computers. I started teaching myself code in my free time. I then realized there was only one thing for me to do. So, I quit my job and took a chance on an 8-week full-time coding boot camp in Columbus. After the coding boot camp, I returned to the oil field until I came across a Computer Support job posting for The Basement Doctor on Craigslist. I went to their website and I noticed that they were hiring for a Web Developer/Designer. I immediately forgot about the Computer Support position. Jamie (Web & Digital Manager) was in contact with me the next day.
As far as my style goes, I don’t enjoy the causal cup of coffee and I don’t like sandwiches of any kind. You will not find me at your local Starbucks or hipster coffee location. I wear flannels all year long, even though I hate the heat. I also love to joke and play pranks. These are just a few things that make me the best and most unique developer.
Greenbaum Stiers Marketing is an amazing company, and I am not just saying that because I work here… but I will take the brownie points. I love my job, the culture, and just the way everyone treats each other here. My dream job has always been to be a developer, and I am excited that it started here. It’s been extremely exciting to experience all the changes we have been making here from being a part of The Basement Doctor to branching off and becoming Greenbaum Stiers Marketing Group.
